All Shabbed Out

Qu’itta Allen

All Shabbed Out is a distinctive furniture artistry business founded by Qu’itta Allen, a self-taught artist based in Denison, Texas. Operating from a 5,000-square-foot studio in a historic 1879 building, Qu’itta specializes in transforming vintage furniture into unique, character-rich pieces. Her style, often described as "rustic elegance," frequently features French provincial designs adorned with bold colors and intricate textures.

Qu’itta's journey into furniture artistry began after a decade in corporate sales. Following a job loss in 2014, she turned her furniture painting hobby into a thriving business. Her work gained national attention when her refurbished china hutch, "The Queen," won first place in the 2017 General Finishes Design Challenge in the Smashing Shades of Gray category.

Each piece Qu’itta creates is personalized and named, reflecting its unique personality. She often uses her hands to apply custom paint blends, ensuring no two pieces are alike. Beyond furniture, Qu’itta also engages in abstract art and photography, enhancing the presentation of her work.

In addition to her artistry, Qu’itta shares her experiences and insights through her podcast, Creative Chaos with All Shabbed Out, where she discusses topics related to creativity and the life of a furniture artist.

Through All Shabbed Out, Qu’itta Allen continues to breathe new life into forgotten furniture, offering clients across the nation pieces that are as functional as they are artistically expressive.
