Redeemed Decor

Barnet, UK

At Redeemed Decor, we understand that everything — and everyone — has the potential to be renewed. Much like people, furniture can lose its spark over time, but with creativity, care, and purpose, its character can be brought back to life. Our work is about more than upcycling; it’s about recognising potential — in both pieces and people — and giving it the chance to shine again.

Founder Melanie Hutton has always had an artistic eye and a natural flair for design. Her creative journey began straight out of school, working alongside her father in his art business before moving into the fashion industry. After raising a family, Melanie returned to her artistic roots and joined world-renowned leather etch artist Mark Evans, where she honed her skills in detailed, precision-based artistry — a place where every mark mattered.

After years of experience and reflection, Melanie and her husband Paul decided to channel their combined creativity into something of their own. Together, they launched Redeemed Decor — a business dedicated to transforming tired, forgotten pieces of furniture into bespoke, design-led works of art.

🌿 From Humble Beginnings to a Creative Hub

Starting from their home in early 2019, Melanie and Paul’s vision grew quickly. By May 2023, they had opened their very own premises — a welcoming space that includes a workshop and a showroom/shop area at Ferny Hill Farm in Barnet. This creative hub now serves as both a working studio and an inspiring destination for those who want to learn how to transform furniture for themselves.
