Nadia Hasan is a visionary entrepreneur, creative artist, educator, and sustainability advocate who is transforming the way people view and preserve furniture. In 2021, driven by her passion for creativity and environmental responsibility, she founded Niche Designs, a furniture painting and revamping business dedicated to giving old furniture a new lease on life.
Through Niche Designs, Nadia has pioneered a sustainable approach to furniture restoration by helping clients transform cherished furniture pieces into beautiful, functional works of art. Many of the items entrusted to her hold deep sentimental and emotional value, and her expertise allows her to preserve their history while adapting them to modern lifestyles and aesthetics. By revamping rather than replacing furniture, Nadia actively contributes to reducing waste, minimizing landfill accumulation, and promoting environmentally responsible living.
What sets Nadia apart is her exceptional ability to restore and revamp furniture that is often 50 years old or more. Her craftsmanship, attention to detail, and understanding of her clients’ vision enable her to create unique pieces that seamlessly blend heritage, functionality, and contemporary design. Every project reflects her commitment to preserving memories while embracing innovation.
Beyond her business, Nadia is passionate about sharing her knowledge and empowering others through education. She regularly conducts hands-on Furniture Paint Workshops across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar. To date, she has trained more than 350–400 women through approximately 40 workshops, equipping them with practical skills in furniture painting, restoration, and creative entrepreneurship. These workshops not only foster artistic expression but also encourage sustainable practices and economic empowerment.
A strong believer in using creativity as a tool for social impact, Nadia launched the initiative “Paint for a Cause”, under which she conducts special workshops for underprivileged communities and charitable organizations. Through this platform, she combines art, education, and philanthropy to create meaningful change while raising awareness about social and environmental issues.
In 2025, Nadia collaborated with students of Lahore Grammar School in a fundraising initiative to support victims affected by the devastating floods in Southern Punjab. Through creative workshops and community engagement activities, the initiative successfully raised awareness and funds to assist affected families and communities.
Continuing her commitment to social responsibility, Nadia also conducted a special workshop in Peshawar in collaboration with the Ranna Child Welfare Foundation.
The event was designed to generate funds for the organization while creating awareness about the importance of supporting vulnerable children. Through art and community participation, the workshop encouraged individuals to contribute toward the welfare, education, and future development of children in need.
Nadia also works closely with educational institutions, engaging students in creative furniture painting, recycling, and restoration activities. Through these initiatives, she inspires young minds to appreciate the importance of environmental stewardship, sustainability, and creative problem-solving. Her efforts help cultivate a new generation that values responsible consumption and community engagement.
Expanding her mission even further, Nadia recently launched her own line of furniture revamping products, including premium chalk paints, primers, texture pastes, rice papers, sanding blocks, and beginner-friendly starter kits. Featuring nine carefully curated chalk paint colors and a range of supporting products, the collection is designed to make furniture transformation accessible to hobbyists, artists, and aspiring entrepreneurs alike.
At the heart of Nadia Hasan’s work lies a simple yet powerful vision: to create a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable Pakistan through art, restoration, education, and community service. Her entrepreneurial journey demonstrates how creativity, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility can work hand in hand to make a meaningful difference in society.
Through Niche Designs and her community initiatives, Nadia continues to inspire individuals to rethink waste, preserve treasured memories, empower communities, and discover the transformative power of creativity.
